About the Experience

Discover one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in north-eastern Sardinia on an unforgettable adventure combining trekking, abseiling, cliff jumping and snorkeling.

The experience takes place on the beautiful Capo Ceraso promontory, a small peninsula overlooking the Gulf of Olbia and surrounded by crystal-clear waters rich in marine life. From this exceptional viewpoint, you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramas stretching from Capo Figari to the majestic Tavolara Island, an impressive limestone mountain rising dramatically from the sea.

Capo Ceraso marks the northern boundary of the Tavolara – Punta Coda Cavallo Marine Protected Area, a pristine environment renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity and unspoiled beauty.

The promontory is covered with lush Mediterranean vegetation, including wild olive trees, holm oaks, cork oaks, mastic trees, cistus and heather, all growing among the characteristic pink granite formations that shape this unique coastline.

The Adventure

Our route follows historic military trails leading to the abandoned lookout of Punta Maladrommì (219 metres above sea level). Until the Second World War, this strategic observation post was used to monitor naval and air traffic across one of the most important stretches of north-eastern Sardinia.

From the lookout, we continue to a spectacular panoramic viewpoint where we put on our helmets and harnesses. After a comprehensive safety briefing, the adventure begins with an exciting 30-metre abseil down the sea cliffs, allowing us to reach the rocky shoreline below.

Once at sea level, it's time to cool off in the crystal-clear waters. Equipped with snorkeling masks, we explore an underwater world full of colourful fish, sea anemones, sea urchins and other fascinating marine life.

Our coastal adventure continues by scrambling over granite rocks, swimming through natural channels carved by the sea and climbing onto a small offshore islet for breathtaking views.

After a short break, those looking for an extra adrenaline rush can enjoy an optional cliff jump of approximately 8 metres into the deep, clear water below.

We then continue swimming and exploring the coastline until we reach Capo Ceraso Beach, where, after a short walk, we return to our starting point., there will be time to relax on Tavolara beach, enjoy the seaside, and take a refreshing swim before returning by boat.
