🌊 Itinerary

The Rio Pitrisconi is located in the heart of the Monte Nieddu massif, on the San Teodoro side of Sardinia. It is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and enjoyable canyoning routes on the island. With an overall difficulty level of PD (not very difficult), it is the perfect canyoning experience for those who want to discover this amazing world for the first time.

The calm and clear waters of Rio Pitrisconi make this route ideal even for beginners looking for adventure, adrenaline, and unforgettable emotions. The only requirements are that participants are able to swim, are in good physical condition, and do not suffer from vertigo.

Once you reach Stazzo Pitrisconi, after only a 5-minute walk you arrive at the riverbed and begin the adventure with the first small rappel: a 5-meter descent leading to a beautiful natural pool about 4 meters deep, where you can enjoy dives into the crystal-clear water.

A few meters further on, you reach the hanging pool, where you can choose between a 4-meter jump or a fun 3-meter natural waterslide leading to the main 20-meter rappel.

This is the most vertical and adrenaline-filled descent of the entire canyon. When the water flow is strong (over 200 liters), a small cableway may be used to safely reach the rappel point. After descending the spectacular waterfall, the aquatic journey continues beneath a large boulder, leading to an emerald-green natural pool where you can enjoy a 6-meter slide or a 5-meter jump.

Shortly afterwards, you reach another impressive 13-meter rappel alongside a majestic waterfall. At the bottom, you can swim across the pool and reach a viewpoint where you can admire the stunning Pitrioulu Pool in all its wild beauty.

During the summer season, it is recommended to exit the canyon at this point, returning to Stazzo Pitrisconi in about 30 minutes.

For those who continue the full route, the canyon offers further adventure: after avoiding a challenging natural slide with a short climb and a swim through a small pool, the river becomes more linear, with no further rappels but continued progression through the riverbed.

After approximately one kilometer, you reach the final natural pool, accessible with a 7-meter jump or a swim of the same length.
